These can be consumed as they are, and whatever is left behind can be disposed off.

Given below are five different homemade teething biscuit recipes that you can try. These do not demand any special ingredients, but only those items that can be easily found in your kitchen.
Cinnamon Teething Roll
Ingredients

➺ 2 slices of bread
➺ 1 teaspoon unsweetened applesauce
➺ Pinch of cinnamon

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serves: One
Directions

➺ Place the slices of bread on a flat surface.
➺ Cut out the hard sides or edges of the bread, and save them for later.
➺ With a rolling pin flatten the slices.
➺ Now, smear a thin layer of unsweetened applesauce on them. This will help the slice roll to stick better.
➺ Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavoring.
➺ Now roll the slices as tight as possible.
➺ Microwave them for about 60 seconds, and let them cool them before you hand them over to your toddler.
➺ As the rolls cool down, they will further harden. Making two at a time will help you keep one as a contingency, in case your toddler drops the first one.

Oats and Banana Biscuit

Ingredients

➺ 1 cup quick oats
➺ 1 cup ground oats
➺ 1 cup overripe bananas, mashed
➺ 3 tablespoons oil
➺ 1 teaspoon baking powder
➺ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
➺ ¼ teaspoon salt
➺ ¼ teaspoon cinnamon or ginger or cardamom
➺ ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serves: Two
Directions

➺ Grind the oats to get a coarse flour.
➺ Mix all the ingredients and knead them well to get a homogeneous dough.
➺ Read a baking parchment sheet with oil.
➺ Now drop a spoonful of your batter on the sheet, and tap it gently to flatten it.
➺ Let it bake for about 15-30 minutes in an oven preheated at 350°F.

Wheat Germ Biscuit

Ingredients

➺ 3 cups of oatmeal
➺ 2 cups unbleached white flour
➺ 1 cup wheat germ
➺ 1 cup water
➺ ¾ cup oil
➺ 3 tablespoons sugar

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serves: Three
Directions

➺ Mix all the ingredients together to make a soft dough.
➺ Bring the dough onto a flat surface and with a rolling pin, flatten it out completely.
➺ Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough in desired shapes.
➺ Bake the cutout pieces at 350°F for about 15 minutes. The biscuits will be done once the top layer is golden brown and crispy.

Oatmeal and Maple Syrup Biscuit

Ingredients

➺ 1 beaten egg yolk
➺ 1 cup flour (white, wheat or combo)
➺ ¼ cup milk
➺ 3 tablespoons maple syrup
➺ 1½ tablespoons oil
➺ 1 tablespoon uncooked oatmeal
➺ 1 tablespoon soy flour
➺ 1 tablespoon wheat germ
➺ 1 tablespoon nonfat dry milk
➺ 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serves: Two

➺ Blend all the ingredients together to get a dough.
➺ With a rolling pin flatten and roll it out.
➺ Cut into desired shapes, and ready a parchment paper with a tinge of oil.
➺ Place the cutout shapes on it, and bake them at 350°F for about 15 minutes.

Vanilla Teething Cookies

Ingredients

➺ 2 eggs
➺ 2 mashed bananas
➺ 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
➺ 1 cup sugar
➺ ⅔ cup softened butter or margarine
➺ 2 teaspoon baking powder
➺ 1 teaspoon vanilla
➺ ¼ teaspoon salt

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serves: Two

➺ Combine all the ingredients together and mix them well to form a dough.
➺ Once your dough is ready, flatten and roll it out with a rolling pin.
➺ Cut out shapes as per your liking.
➺ Read a baking sheet with two drops of oil, and bake the cutout cookies in the preheated oven at 350°F for about 15 minutes.
