It often causes infant respiratory allergies and eczema rashes. The residue might also increase flammability of fabrics.
Babies have the tendency to chew everything they see; if they accidentally chew their clothes, like their bibs or napkins, then these residual molecules might be ingested which can cause digestive disorders.

Apart from these chemical detergents, you can also use some natural recipes to wash your little one's garments. Babies' clothes get stained mainly with food, puke, spurts, and tonic. First, try to remove the stain as much as possible with plain water. If the stain is mild, you can soak the dirty fabric in baking soda, club soda, or vinegar.
You can also rub a piece of lemon on the area to get rid of the stain. Soak the fabric in an infant antiseptic lotion to get rid of germs.
Always remember to clean your baby's garments separately. Do not mix them with the dirty clothes of other family members. You can also use Oxy Clean stain removers to clean your baby's things. Wash gently by hand or dry clean if necessary.
Always double rinse with clean water to remove the detergent completely. Remember to use perfume-free and dye-free detergents and fabric softeners. Dry the garments at lowest temp.
